SARAJEVO, October 23 (FENA) - Party of Democratic Action (SDA) has condemned the hypocritical statements of BiH Presidency Member Milorad Dodik regarding the migrant crisis, which is only intended to deepen this problem.
They point out that Dodik has long been advocating on resolving the migrant crisis, and at the same time politically, he has done his best to block any solution.
SDA also believes that his latest statements show that he opposes the relocation of migrant centers from urban areas of the Una-Sana Canton (USC), while spreading conspiracy theories and ethnic hatred.
They state that Dodik's sole aim is to direct the focus of the migrant crisis solely on Bosniak-majority urban centers, in order to destabilize them and make their citizens a security problem and make their life difficult.
"It is unacceptable that instead of security, ethnic and political criteria are used, and that the burden of migrant crisis is directed solely towards the urban centers of the USC, which are mostly inhabited by Bosniaks. Bosniaks did not invite migrants to come to BiH, but the EU, and responsibility for resolving this issue lies with everyone in BiH in cooperation with the EU, not just Bosniak-majority municipalities,” the SDA announced.
Are the existing USC migrant centers subject to the approval of local authorities or citizens of Bihać, Kladuša and other cities? The state institutions are responsible for this matter, not Dodik, and they must make decisions about the relocation of migrant centers based on security analysis and professional criteria, which means that migrant centers cannot be in urban areas, as they are nowhere in Europe, SDA stated.
