SARAJEVO, October 23 (FENA) - BiH Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Committee for NATO Integration, Josip Brkić, attended the 15th Annual NATO Conference on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Disarmament and Non-Proliferation held in Brussels from October 21 to 23.
At the conference, attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, representatives of NATO member states as well as partner countries exchanged views and presented experiences in the area of one of the biggest security threats of the moment.
They also discussed the creation of conditions for holding a successful Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference which will be held next year, as well as the challenges and role of NATO and its partners in the process of control, disarmament and non-proliferation weapons of mass destruction.
Deputy Minister Brkić met on the sidelines of the conference with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Bettina Cadenbach to discuss the current situation in BiH and activities in NATO and EU integration processes, the BiH Foreign Ministry announced.
