SARAJEVO, October 28 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović says the reasons for postponing the meeting between the SDA and HDZ BiH delegations, scheduled to take place today in Mostar, are personal in nature, and that the meeting is likely to be held early next week.
In a statement to the press ahead of the SDA's collegium session in Sarajevo today, Izetbegović also commented on the meeting of the BiH Presidency member and SNSD President Milorad Dodik and HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović with Slovak Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman Miroslav Lajčak in Bratislava on Sunday.
“I was not invited, but I think it would be better if I was at that meeting instead of Lajčak,” Izetbegović said.
The BiH Presidency members are going to Brussels tomorrow, and when asked if there could be any pressure from the international community in connection to the political situation in BiH and some possible solutions, Izetbegović said that some have been working on it.
“I would not call it pressure, but an attempt from the international community to help the Presidency, and I think that there will be those kinds of talks in Brussels as well, and I hope that finally there will be enough wisdom to implement what we, Dodik, Čović and I signed on August 5,” said Izetbegović.
And when it comes to the Annual National Program (ANP) with NATO, he added that the Constitution and all the existing laws and strategies adopted earlier will be respected.
“Therefore, everything is clear, it is necessary to finalize this issue and form the government,” said Izetbegović.
