TUZLA, November 1 (FENA) - The largest post-war project in BiH - construction of Block 7 of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant begins today with the introduction of a contractor for preparatory work.
The deadline for completion of preparatory work is 12 months, the value of the contract is KM 18.9 million, and the work will be done by a consortium of domestic companies.
Unit 7 will replace Units 3, 4 and 5 in the Tuzla TPP, which are to be shut down in 2023 and whose total capacity is 500 MW, and the new unit will be 450 MW.
The entire Block 7 construction project, worth KM 1.5 billion, should be completed by the end of 2024.
Both houses of the FBiH Parliament supported a proposed decision that FBiH can issue guarantees for the Elektroprivreda BiH for a loan with the Export-Import Bank of China due to the planned construction of the Block 7 of Tuzla Thermal Power Plant.
