SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - The session of the Independent Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which should determine the ranking of candidates who have applied for the position of a new director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), should continue today afternoon.
The session was adjourned on 21 October, because it was necessary to ascertain additional facts in the process of appointing a new SIPA director.
The interviews with candidates who applied for the position of a new SIPA director have been conducted, and the candidates are the incumbent Agency Director Perica Stanić, Director of Republika Srpska Police Darko Ćulum, former SIPA Director Goran Zubac, and Trebinje police official Žarko Laketa.
According to the procedure, the Independent Committee submits the candidate list to the BiH Minister of Security, Dragan Mektić, who is legally obliged to propose of the candidates on the list to the BiH Council of Ministers for the appointment.
