Komšić: Formation of government is 'stuck' on compliance with laws and decisions

SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić said today that everything in the country is meaningless if government is not established, including holding elections because it raises the question why to organize them, if government cannot be established.

He thinks that the key question is whether the laws and decisions that were made earlier will be respected, because if you review all the laws and decisions every four years, then everything becomes questionable in BiH.

"The formation of the government is "stuck" on the technical matter and on compliance with laws and decisions of the BiH Presidency. We demand that the designate and the political structure that proposes him respect the decisions of the BiH Presidency, whose political structure, including the MAP and the ANP, participated in its adoption. Otherwise, there is no stability in the country," Komšić said.

However, he emphasized that, given the political situation in the country, the BiH Presidency is working regularly, adding that there is no deadlock in what concerns constitutional competencies of the BiH Presidency.

Komšić said that BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik is more in Banja Luka than in Sarajevo, suggesting he should spend more time in the BiH capital.

The BiH Presidency Chairman clearly declined to comment on statements of "Self-determination" list leader Sulejman Ugljanin, who said that if they were supported in the elections for the Bosniak National Council (BNV), Bosniaks would be granted the status of constituent people in Serbia and Sandžak will be given autonomy.

He said the statements were made by a Serbian citizen, which is why he does not want to interfere in other countries' affairs, noting that BiH does not want neighbors to interfere in its internal affairs.

He called hypocritical attacks on SDA president Bakir Izetbegović by some political party representatives related to the revision of the BiH lawsuit against Serbia, stating that Izetbegović at the time had the support of everyone who attacks him today.
