SARAJEVO, November 6 (FENA) - The City of Sarajevo will be the general sponsor of the spring conference of European Alliance of News Agency (EANA), which will be held in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and hosted by the Federal News Agency (FENA) from April 1 to 3 next year.
At a meeting with Mayor Abdullah Skaka, the Director of the Federal News Agency (FENA) Elmir Huremović stated that this is a very important event for Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the City of Sarajevo, since it will welcome for the first time the leading people from the most influential and esteemed news agencies from 32 European countries.
"This is the largest and most important media gathering ever organized in BiH because there have never been so many important people from the media community in BiH at the same time and place. We are pleased that the City of Sarajevo and Mayor Skaka recognized the importance of this event and decided to be our partners in the organization of the conference," said Director Huremović.
Mayor Skaka stressed that the international promotion of Sarajevo as a European city and a popular tourist destination is one of the priorities of the city administration.
"The arrival of many representatives of the most influential media in Europe is certainly an opportunity to show the true colors of Sarajevo. We are convinced that they will take with them the best impressions from our city and that the conference that Fena will organize lives up to its expectations," Mayor Skaka said.
