BANJA LUKA, November 10 (FENA) - Senad Bratić, a deputy of the caucus of “Together for BiH” in the RS National Assembly, thinks that a special session of the entity parliament, which costs taxpayers about KM 25,000, is unnecessary and it is questionable how much the topics discussed at the session will improve lives of citizens who elected them.
At the request of ruling majority in that BiH entity, information on the unconstitutional transformation of BiH's Dayton structure and the impact on the position and rights of the RS will be discussed tomorrow.
Bratić stated for FENA that the transfer of competencies from entity to the state level involved representatives of parties that were in power in RS, including those who are now seeking debate on the matter, and that the High Representatives had the support of the Peace Implementation Council, including Russia, for imposing its decisions.
“As a result, some decisions are now in dispute, but this was not the case before,” said Bratić.
He also warned that the term of the special session is not right, and it is happening at a time when a compromise to form a government at the state level is much more needed.
