SARAJEVO, November 13 (FENA) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić met with Samuel D. Brownback, US Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom in Sarajevo today to inform him on the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman Zvizdić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a multicultural and multi-religious society and that the struggle to preserve these values and union has never been more relevant. He also said that violation of human rights and freedoms that could not be tolerated or justified is visible.
Ambassador Brownback said the United States supports religious freedom and emphasized that faith is a driving force for well-being and bringing people together. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is an example of coexistence and tolerance, a place where different religions can live and cooperate.
They agreed that it is necessary to work for a long-term reconciliation and to insist on religious freedom for everyone.
US Ambassador in BiH Eric Nelson attended the meeting as well, BiH Council of Ministers stated.
