MOSTAR, November 14 (FENA) - Independent Union of Aluminij’s Employees warns that nothing concrete has been done to restart production four months since the factory was disconnected from the high-voltage electrical circuit.
"So far, we do not see any significant developments which would indicate that the solution has been found and that it needs to be implemented as soon as possible. We are more likely to have impression that the necessary moves are constantly being delayed, and over time, it seems that Aluminij problem would soon be forgotten," the Aluminij Independent Union said in a statement.
The Union said they would fight for the continuation of Aluminij’s work until the last minute and asked for help from all relevant institutions.
"A special responsibility is on the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the FBiH Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, but we also believe that the Croatian National Parliament must be involved and that these institutions should not view this problem as one in a series of those without a solution", it is said in a statement.
The Union states that the fate of Aluminij can have far-reaching consequences for the future of the Herzegovina region, and believes that the President of the Republic of Croatia, who has a constitutional obligation to care for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, should be involved in resolving the issue of Aluminij.
