SDA – The Hague Tribunal ruling finds 'Herceg-Bosna' a joint criminal enterprise

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, November 18 (FENA) – Party of Democratic Action (SDA) recalls that today is the anniversary of the fall of Vukovar, one of the symbols of the atrocities committed during the Greater Serbian aggression in the former Yugoslavia.

"Just as it is necessary to show respect towards the victims of the JNA crime in Vukovar, it is also necessary to show the respect towards the victims of the self-proclaimed wartime statelet that named itself the Croat Republic of Herceg-Bosna. Instead, HDZ BiH officials have chosen to celebrate war criminals and insult their victims, the SDA stated.

As they stated, marking the anniversary of the so-called 'Herceg-Bosna' represents the gravest insult to the families of those killed, victims of rape, camps, torture and other crimes committed by the authorities of that parastatal community.

The SDA recalls that the final verdict of The Hague Tribunal found that the so-called 'Herceg-Bosna' was a joint criminal enterprise (JCE) aimed at creating an ethnically pure Croatian entity and uniting it with Croatia.

The official position of the European Union and the UN is that the judgments of The Hague Tribunal must be respected and everything else is a violation of fundamental civilization principles and the rule of law. That is why it should be justified and necessary to mark not the day of establishment, but the day of abolishing parastatal formations, it is said in a statement from SDA.
