SARAJEVO, November 18 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić received today in an inaugural visit newly-appointed Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec.
Ambassador Kavalec emphasized that the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of six OSCE missions in the world, with the aim of conducting OSCE activities focused on six areas of activity: human rights; education; the rule of law; gender equality; democratic governance and security cooperation. She emphasized that the OSCE's interest is to improve the electoral process in BiH in a way that restores confidence in the results and importance of elections.
Chairman Komšić emphasized that, even though the process of forming a new convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH is important and should represent the democratic will of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, only those who are willing to abide by applicable laws and decisions and strategies concerning BiH's membership in NATO can participate in it, that is, the support cannot be obtained by those who do not intend to implement applicable laws and decisions.
Chairman Komšić stated that he fully supports projects implemented by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Presidency announced.
