Western Balkans youth draft a 'We Are Europe Too' resolution in Brussels

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO/BRUSSELS, November 26 (FENA) - The Boris Divković Foundation (Sarajevo), in collaboration with the Center Party International Foundation (CPIF) and the European Liberal Forum - ELF, organized a study visit to Brussels for regional liberal political academy (RLPA) alumni.

The aim of the visit was to create a strong network of young liberals in the Western Balkans, to encourage them for significant influence and social engagement, and to strengthen the link between young politicians from the Western Balkan countries and their counterparts in the European Union.

During the visit, young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Kosovo worked to create a resolution "We Are Europe Too" outlining many reasons why Western Balkan countries should be part of the EU, what is the role of youth in this process and they also pointed out how the EU should treat the countries of the Western Balkans.

The Resolution was presented at a panel discussion at the European Parliament in which three European parliamentarians also participated.

The Resolution will be proposed at one of the upcoming congresses of Young Liberals of Europe and will be a guideline to Europe's liberals in their further relations with the Western Balkan countries.
