SARAJEVO, November 26 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina needs modernization of the electoral process and the introduction of electronic voting, as well as assistance from the international community in acquiring the necessary equipment and training of personnel who would control the process.
This was emphasized today during a meeting between Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Nebojša Radmanović and a delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
The two delegations discussed the amendment to the Election Law in the context of the upcoming local elections in BiH, with a particular focus on the situation in the City of Mostar, in which local elections have not been held since 2008.
The two sides also discussed the obligations of the BiH institutions regarding the implementation of the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights related to the holding of the elections for the City of Mostar, stated the Public Relations Office of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
