BiH Prosecutor's Office requests Serbia to extradite Osmanović to BiH judiciary

SARAJEVO, November 27 (FENA) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed a motion with the Ministry of Justice of BiH to petition the judicial institutions of the Republic of Serbia for the extradition of Osman Osmanović to the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH stated that the Special Department for War Crimes is working on a case concerning the aforementioned suspect.

Also, the reasons for extradition to BiH are that these crimes had been committed in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the victims are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that evidence and witnesses are in BiH, and Osman Osmanović is a BiH citizen as well.

The motion was sent today to the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further procedure, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH stated.
