SARAJEVO, December 2 (FENA) – BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić spoke today in Sarajevo with the newly-appointed non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to BiH, based in Zagreb, Riza Poda, when he reiterated his condolences on the tragedy caused by the earthquake that hit Albania.
Ambassador of Albania extended greetings and appreciation to Chairman Komšić and the BiH Presidency from the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, the Government and the people of Albania for their assistance, support and solidarity during the devastating earthquake that killed more than 50 people in Albania.
The two officials discussed regional cooperation and the European perspective of the Western Balkans, and they emphasized that any positive message for the neighboring countries is an additional impetus and a positive signal for BiH on the European path.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania are also connected with about 10.000 citizens from BiH living in Albania, and about 10.000 Albanian citizens in BiH, which is another important element for strengthening bilateral relations, the BiH Presidency stated.
