BANJA LUKA, December 3 (FENA) – The continuation of marking of January 9th as the "Day of Republika Srpska" goes against the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vice-President of RS Ramiz Salkić warned today.
He indicated that opposing the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a direct violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
"Violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement represents a direct threat to peace and achieved values of implemented peace. These activities imply a direct need for the intervention of the High Representative, who is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement. We need to look for ways and methods to make the public aware of what January 9, 1992 caused," Salkić told FENA.
On March 29, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared unconstitutional the decree on January 9 as the "Day of Republika Srpska", but RS President Željka Cvijanović presided yesterday at the first session of the Organizing Committee on the occasion of marking of the "Day of Republika Srpska” for 2020.
