SARAJEVO, December 4 (FENA) - By taking full control of air traffic control of Bosnia and Herzegovina's airspace that will take place tonight after midnight, the BiH Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) will open a new chapter in the history of BiH civil aviation, the Agency stated.

BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić told reporters in Sarajevo today that taking over of the entire airspace by Bosnia and Herzegovina is extremely significant.

"This is significant for us, first of all due to the fact that we fully meet international standards, that we have succeeded in educating a large number of flight controllers who can take it very professionally when it comes to BiH," Zvizdić said.

Speaker of the House of Peoples of BiH PA Dragan Čović told reporters that the fact that we have finally taken over the entire Bosnian airspace is of great importance.

"It means a lot to us, especially in the financial part. It is also a big responsibility due to thousands of flights a day that our people will now have to control above the territory of BiH, but also a sign of our ability to enter and share that responsibility with all partners in the EU and not only in the EU," Čović said.
