SARAJEVO, December 4 (FENA) – Speaker of the Croat People Caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Lidija Bradara and Speaker of the Bosniak People Caucus in the House of Peoples of BiH PA Asim Sarajlić participated in a meeting of members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament (AFET) with delegations of the EU Member State Parliaments and the Western Balkans countries, PR Office of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell addressed at the meeting, and gave full support for the European perspective and the continuation of the EU enlargement process in the Western Balkans.
According to Borrell, the Western Balkans cannot be denied a European perspective, since peace and security in the region also mean peace and security in the EU.
He stressed that the EU is the only one that can offer Western Balkan countries solutions for sustainable development and prosperity in the future. The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy told parliamentarians from the Western Balkan countries not to be disappointed with recent developments in the EU regarding the enlargement process and to continue implementing reforms and fulfilling the conditions for full EU membership.
