Marking of International Human Rights Day and awarding Peace Prizes

SARAJEVO, December 9 (FENA) – Peace Building Network and the EU Info Center in BiH will, within the Human Rights Week entitled "I want to know what my rights are", mark the International Human Rights Day with more than 600 guests from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, students from 10 BiH cities, at the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, organizers announced.

During the event, Peace Prizes will also be awarded to persons and schools actively contributing to promotion of human rights protection, reconciliation and promotion of European Union values.

The award is dedicated to the effective implementation of the principle of tolerance in public and private spheres, especially in activities that contribute to peacebuilding in the fields of art, education, culture and science.

Ambassador Johann Sattler, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative to BiH, Jasminka Džumhur, Human Rights Ombudsperson of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Goran Bubalo, President of the Peace Building Network, will address the attendees.

Peace Prizes will be presented by German Ambassador to BiH Margret Uebber and Italian Ambassador to BiH Nicola Minasi.
