ZENICA, December 18 (FENA) - Police teams from the Police Department of the Ministry of Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton began searches this morning at 31 locations in three municipalities in the canton, and have so far arrested 20 persons.
The operation is aimed at arresting 28 persons suspected of committing criminal offenses of narcotic drug abuse and illicit possession of weapons and ammunition.
“The searches are carried out in the municipalities of Maglaj, Zavidovići and Tešanj. So far, 20 persons have been arrested and two more are still being sought.
These are persons from the area of Maglaj municipality,” Aldina Alić, a spokeswoman for the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ZDC, told FENA.
The searches are still ongoing and are being carried out as part of the continuation of the extensive police operation codenamed "Network III", conducted by the Police Directorate of the MoI of the ZDC in cooperation and under the supervision of the Zenica Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, following the orders of the Zenica, Tešanj and Zavidovići Municipal Courts.
