BANJA LUKA, December 26 (FENA) - An MP of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Draško Stanivuković today filed a criminal complaint with the RS District Public Prosecutor against RS Interior Minister Dragan Lukać for endangering safety and causing bodily harm.
Stanivuković told reporters in front of the Prosecutor’s Office that, together with his complaint, he presented a video from the National Assembly session on December 23, as well as medical record on traumatic head injury, bruising and laceration of the lower lip.
“This is a big step for all RS citizens, as for the first time in his career, Lukač said he was willing to resign under certain conditions. I am glad because these conditions will be fulfilled, since he has caused me physical injury and there is medical documentation that he hit me as well as threatened me,” said Stanivuković.
He hopes the Prosecution will launch an investigation as soon as possible and have Lukač removed from office.
The Serb Democratic Party (SDS) caucus in the RS National Assembly this morning have urged for the dismissal of RS Interior Minister Dragan Lukač because of his violent behavior against MP Draško Stanivuković during the last session of the entity parliament.
The initiative was submitted to RS Prime Ministers Radovan Višković and the National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Čubrilović, the SDS said.
