Novalić: The entity governments agreed to unblock 120 million KM of assets

SARAJEVO, December 26 (FENA) - The FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said today after a meeting with BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija and RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković that a partial but significant unblocking of funds of the BiH Electricity Transmission Company (TRANSCO) has been agreed.

“Out of 180 million KM of investment funds, it was agreed to unblock 120 million KM,” pointed out Novalić.

The Assembly of TRANSCO, he added, will be held between January 15 and 20 next year.

Višković said the entities agreed to withdraw lawsuits related to the distribution of indirect tax revenue.

“With this agreed settlement, we are withdrawing our claims and I hope that after the holidays, by the end of January, we will resolve this matter as well,” said Višković.

He stated that he expects that in the first quarter of next year, that significant number of topics will be in the stage of development and realization and that their priority will be to protect domestic production.

Višković said that BiH is the third country in the world when it comes to meat imports, and added that there is a strong import lobby in BiH.

The BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija announced that a session of the Fiscal Council would be held tomorrow and that a global fiscal framework is expected to be adopted.
