Dodik: RS able to organize opposing rallies without incidents

BANJA LUKA, December 27 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member and SNSD president Milorad Dodik claims that "RS is almost the only place where two completely opposite rallies can be held at a distance of 100 meters and that everything goes in peace, as it was the case last night in Banja Luka.”

“I think that freedom of speech in RS is enormous and that it gives everyone the opportunity to express their position, while RS can organize events without incidents. Everyone sends a message as they think they should,” he added.

He claims that, despite the BiH Constitutional Court has repealed as an unconstitutional the article of the law on January 9 as "The RS Day,", Dodik says they will continue to mark the day, as it has been done every year so far.

Dodik, after a reception organized by RS President Željka Cvijanović on the occasion of January 9, announced the January 9 parade with new elements, followed by a solemn academy and a reception in East Sarajevo.

Speaking about the latest events in Montenegro, he said that he personally perceives it as "an act of hostility against the Serb people, given that the country has regulated relations with all other religious communities, and they want the Serbian Orthodox Church to regulate as they see fit, which opens the possibility of seizing the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church."

“It is sad that this has happened and RS doesn't look at it favorably. It is an act that will for a long time complicate relations between Serbs people no matter where they live and Montenegro as a state,” Dodik said.

He said that "it was unnecessary for the BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić and member Šefik Džaferović to respond to the Serbian Defense Strategy, because the Presidency did not take an official position on this issue."
