Queen Elizabeth II awards two Bosnians

BIRMINGHAM, December 30 (FENA) - This year, two Bosnian citizens living and working in the UK have been awarded with the New Year Honors of the British Royal Court.

Professor Adisa Azapagić was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honors for services to sustainability and carbon foot printing. She is professor of chemistry and a researcher at University of Manchester. She comes from Tuzla.

Safet Vukalić was appointed British Empire Medal (BEM) - the British Royal Medal for his work to genocide education about the Srebrenica genocide. Safet Vukalić is originally from Prijedor, BHDINFODESK stated.

According to tradition for New Year's holidays, Queen Elizabeth ll recognises citizens who have made achievements in public life or committed themselves to serving and helping Britain.
