ČAPLJINA/SARAJEVO, January 3 (FENA) - A solemn welcome from the Infantry Unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BiH) from the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan was held today at the Božan Šimović barracks in Čapljina. The Infantry Unit has just successfully completed another rotation from this peace support operation.
This unit of the Armed Forces of BiH has carried out its mission in accordance with the Decision of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the United States Armed Forces, the Coalition Forces in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
The attendees were addressed by Commander of the 4th Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Zdravko Rezo, who emphasized the positive assessments of the Coalition Forces for the accomplished mission of the AFBiH infantry unit.
He expressed content with the excellent work of the brigade members in the multinational environment, working with the local population, as well as the challenges that our unit faced during the mission.
The Commander of the AFBiH Operational Command, Major General Radovan Ilić, thanked all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the mission and emphasized that the mission showed the readiness of members of the Armed Forces of BiH to participate in international missions side by side with multinational forces, stated the Ministry of Defense of BiH.
