SARAJEVO, January 7 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fahrudin Radončić today received in an inaugural visit EUFOR Commander, Major General Reinhard Trischak, to discuss continued cooperation and the security situation in BiH.
One of the topics of the meeting was the migrant situation, which has been a significant security and humanitarian challenge for BiH over the past two years.
Minister Radončić stressed that the emphasis would be placed on suppressing illegal border crossings and combating human smugglers in the coming period.
Also, they discussed the return of BiH nationals who went to Syria as foreign warriors often taking their families with them.
Minister Radončić emphasized that the continuation of full operational cooperation with EUROPOL remains a priority for the BiH Ministry of Security, and stressed the importance of completing the establishment of a contact point for cooperation with that EU police agency, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
