BANJA LUKA, January 8 (FENA) - BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik called for peace and cooperation today.

"Cooperation and peace should mark the time to come," Dodik said.

He also said in a statement to Banja Luka reporters "that the RS intends to regain its constitutional position" and "that the RS exists for its own sake and not to irritate others."

RS President Željka Cvijanović said it is important for this BiH entity to be stable, and that political stability is a prerequisite for economic stability.

RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković also announced that the Government will do everything to strengthen this BiH entity economically, create new jobs and start investments, which should amount to around one billion KM this year.

RS officials called for tomorrow's "RS Day" to be celebrated with dignity.

Preparations are underway in that BiH entity to celebrate January 9, although BiH Constitutional Court has repealed as an unconstitutional the article of the law on January 9 as "The RS Day".

RS Vice President Ramiz Salkić warned today that the persistence of RS authorities on marking January 9 as entity day is unconstitutional, illegal and immoral, and called on BiH High Representative Valentin Inzko to take sanctions against the organizers of the marking.

The RS Ministry of Interior also stressed that security measures have been enhanced so that tomorrow's solemn ceremony goes without incidents and smoothly.
