SREBRENICA, January 12 (FENA) - Srebrenica residents are outraged by the increased provocations they are exposed to, and the latest were in the form of posters featuring the photos of war criminal Ratko Mladić and the messages on them, "There was no genocide" and "General, may God give you long life and health".
Srebrenica genocide survivor Nedžad Avdić told FENA that these provocations, terror, intimidation and humiliation are experienced by Bosniaks in Srebrenica and Podrinje almost on a daily basis and their aim is to prevent their survival in this community.
"This is nothing but the continuation of Karadžić's directive number seven of spring 1995. I do not expect the police of this entity to do anything, since they played their part in the 1995 genocide and they support it," Avdić believes.
He urges the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the competent institutions from other levels of government, and in particular Bosniak political representatives, to finally take certain measures until it is too late and to stop condemning such matters only with empty statements.
"There are boundaries and one cannot tolerate this kind of terror, which has become almost a daily thing. There will be someone who will respond, but it will be too late. Therefore, I urge that something be done and that such things be cut down at the root," says this Srebrenica resident.
