SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - Danijela Kristić said at an emergency press conference today that the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina has stated that her appointment to the position of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Speaker is constitutional.
Kristić announced two sessions of the Canton Assembly for tomorrow, the first to announce the decision on the interim financing of the Canton, and the second to confirm the appointment of Mirza Čelik (SDA) as a member of the Assembly leadership and to schedule a date when the Assembly should declare confidence in the Government.
Minister of Justice and Administration of the Sarajevo Canton Lejla Brčić also addressed at the press conference, saying that the OHR's interpretation showed that "we did not fight for power" but for compliance with procedures.
Both participants of this press conference called on members of the cantonal assembly to return to legal procedures and attend tomorrow's announced sessions.
They also announced that a meeting would be held shortly after this press conference, which should be attended by leaders of caucuses participating in the cantonal assembly.
