BANJA LUKA, January 22 (FENA) - Representatives of civil society organizations, public institutions and local government units from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia may apply for a public call for grants under the USD 600,000 worth regional ‘Dialogue for the Future’ program.
Seven priority areas have been identified, which are important for strengthening social cohesion between and within BiH, Montenegro and Serbia.
“There are seven priority areas which applicants can join. These relate to youth capacity building, media information literacy, enhancing intercultural understanding and cooperation, enhancing social dialogue, gender equality and environmental protection,” said Regional Program Coordinator of the 'Dialogue for the Future 'Alma Mirvić.
Mirvić stated that this project has been implemented in BiH, Montenegro and Serbia since January last year.
So far, the program implemented 12 dialogue platforms in all three countries, and there have been more than 1,200 participants discussing social cohesion.
The Regional Dialogue for the Future program is implemented by UNDP, UNICEF and UNESCO in partnership with state institutions in BiH, Montenegro and Serbia, with financial support from the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.
