SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - The BiH Council of Ministers, the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees in cooperation with the Jewish Community of BiH and the Jewish municipality of Sarajevo, is organizing a memorial service this year dedicated to January 27th - International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Commemoration will begin at the old Jewish cemetery "Borak" in Kovačići by laying flowers at the Holocaust Memorial, and then a central commemorative academy will be held in Sarajevo's Jewish Community Hall to be addressed by the President of the Jewish Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jakob Finci, and Husnija Kamberović will speak on the Holocaust and its aftermath.
As part of the commemorative activities the exhibition "The Road to Victory: Historical Sources Testify" has been opened at the Novi hram Gallery, which citizens can view every day except Saturday, from 2pm to 6pm. The exhibition will be open until January 31.
“We call all citizens who want to honor the six million Jews who were killed during the Holocaust to join an international campaign to commemorate the innocent victims of the Nazi regime. What they need to do is take photos with the caption #WeRemember and share the photo on their social networks,” it is said in a statement from the Jewish Community of BiH.
