SARAJEVO, January 31 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković received on Friday the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH Haldun Koç in an inaugural visit.
Minister Turković emphasized the special and close ties BiH has with Turkey as well as excellent bilateral relations.
She welcomed the intensive cooperation in all areas and expressed assurances that it would be continued with greater intensity in the future.
Turković emphasized that the support and assistance provided by Turkey as a sincere friend to our country in many areas and in various aspects has been extremely appreciated in BiH.
She also highlighted Turkey's support for the EU and NATO integration paths of BiH, which is very important for the overall security and stability of the entire region.
Turković expressed willingness to use excellent political relations to further improve BiH's relations with Turkey, primarily in the field of economic cooperation, through the organization of economic forums, but also through direct contacts between businesses.
Ambassador Koç emphasized that his country strongly supports the sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic nature of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed satisfaction with the lasting and sincere friendship between the two countries.
He stated that Turkey would continue to improve cooperation with BiH in all areas of common interest.
Ambassador Koç also stressed that BiH's progress on the EU-NATO path, for which there is strong Turkish support, is essential for the security of the region, also seen in the example of the recent the migrant crisis, stated the BiH MFA Public Relations Office.
