BANJA LUKA, February 3 (FENA) - An MP of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Draško Stanivuković presented today to the RS National Assembly the initiative for a mandatory marking of all official vehicles in the public institutions of that BiH entity, and a request to limit the maximum cost of their procurement to 51,000 KM.
He claims that they identified 20 vehicles alone in the RS government that cost more than 51,000 KM which is, they say, an additional 1.2 million KM spent on those purposes.
“Official vehicles today are more seen at ski resorts and at summer vacation sites than where they should, Annually, some 500,000 KM is spent on such vehicles, as determined by the RS Audit Office for 2016 alone, said Stanivuković at a press conference in Banja Luka.
He claims that these vehicles record a minimum of 750,000 kilometers for unofficial purposes, which is a cost of half a million KM a year.
It is necessary, Stanivkuković says, to create a register of these vehicles in order to stop their misuse for private purposes, and to make millions of savings by adopting the aforementioned initiative.
