SARAJEVO, February 4 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Staša Košarac, received FBiH Minister of Energy, Industry and Mining Nermin Džindić in Sarajevo today, and discussed a model for future cooperation and many current issues.
Košarac informed Džindić that he fully wishes to affirm the cooperation of the competent entity ministries and institutions of the Brčko District with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
Džindić supported the initiative in order to make decisions more transparent and efficient.
The interlocutors also agreed that there is a need to hold periodic meetings at ministerial level, and announced that this would be practice in their cooperation.
Minister Košarac informed Minister Džindić about recent meeting he had with European Commissioner for Trade Phil Hogan in Brussels, and the announced review of the safeguard measures introduced by the EU on imports of steel products.
They also discussed gasification projects in BiH, and the interlocutors stated that it was necessary to secure new supply routes, as well as diversification of sources.
During today's meeting, it was agreed that a meeting between Minister Košarac and relevant entity ministers with representatives of the Energy Community will be initiated in the coming period, which will discuss the conditions of the Third Energy Package, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH announced.
