Greek Ambassador Dimitrios Papandreou visits NUL BiH

SARAJEVO, February 6 (FENA) - Newly-appointed Greek Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Dimitrios Papandreou visited the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NUL BiH), where Director Ismet Ovčina briefed him on the situation at this institution.

The Ambassador of Greece to BiH was presented with the Department of Special Collections of the NUL of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which preserves the valuable cultural and historical heritage of BiH, as well as the cultural and historical heritage of the world. He was delighted to see the manuscript in the Greek language, as well as in the Hebrew language printed in Thessaloniki in 1564.

Papandreou donated two editions to the Library Fund, which shows the wealth of Greek art, and Director Ovčina presented the Ambassador with several publications of NUL BiH, including "Bosniaca", the journal of the National and University Libraries of Bosnia and Herzegovina and "Glasnik" NUL BiH.

The interlocutors expressed mutual desire to organize a special exhibition highlighting the culture and cooperation of the two countries, NUL BiH stated.
