Islamic Relief donates non-food items worth for migrants and refugees in BiH

SARAJEVO, February 13 (FENA) - International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Islamic Relief Worldwide in Bosnia and Herzegovina (IRBiH) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today in regards to the implementation of a significant donation worth BAM 680,000 which will be used to provide non-food items for the needs of migrants and refugees currently residing in temporary reception centers.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Mr. Emir Čiča, Director of the Representative Office of Islamic Relief Worldwide in Bosnia and Herzegovina (IRBiH), and Mr. Peter Van der Auweraert, IOM Chief of Mission in BiH and Sub-Regional Coordinator for the Western Balkans.

"IRBIH has made efforts to recognize the needs of migrants and refugees, and they approached IOM wishing to provide what is most needed at this time. IOM is grateful for this valuable donation for migrants and refugees", IOM stated.

The donated items will be of great importance to migrants and refugees residing in temporary reception centers funded by the European Union and run by IOM and the Service for Foreigners' Affairs (SFA), stated the IOM.
