Đorđe Popović the new RS Minister of Transport and Communications

BANJA LUKA, February 18 (FENA) - The new Minister of Transport and Communications of the entity of Republika Srpska (RS) is, who today swore an oath at the beginning of the regular session of the RS National Assembly.

The Democratic People's Alliance (DNS) has earlier asked for the dismissal of their minister, Neđo Trninić, and they appointed Đorđe Popović, also from the DNS, who was previously director of RITE Ugljevik.

In December 2019, Marko Pavić, DNS President filed an irrevocable resignation after which the Presidency of the party decided that Nenad Nešić would serve as the party's acting president until the party elections, that Milan Radović be vice-president and Darko Banjac would serve as the DNS secretary general.

The proposed agenda of today’s regular session of the RS national Assembly includes, inter alia, the RS National Assembly's Declaration on the situation of the Serb people in Montenegro - the proposal of MP Nebojša Vukanović, the Bill on the City of East Sarajevo - by urgent procedure - the proposal of the SNSD MPs, and the Bill on Amendments to the Election Law of the Republika Srpska - by urgent procedure – proposed by the SNSD MPs caucus.
