BANJA LUKA, February 20 (FENA) - MPs in the RS National Assembly at today’s session rejected a declaration on the position of the Serb people in Montenegro, proposed by MP of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Nebojša Vukanovicć.

The document, which did not receive the required number of votes, expresses "deep concern over the position of Serbs in Montenegro and frequent examples of violations of the basic human and civil rights of the Serb people in that country."

Vukanović suggested that the RS parliament condemn, as he said, the discrimination against Serbs in Montenegro ... and urge the authorities and courts in Montenegro to respect the European Convention on Human Rights and to allow the right to a fair trial.

The RSNA adopted the Laws on the City of East Sarajevo, on the proposal of the SNSD MPs, amendments to the RS Election Law, and the Law on the Special Expropriation Procedure for the Construction of the Motorway and Gas Pipeline Vukosavlje - Brčko and Brčko - Rača section and Amendments to the Law on Metrology in RS, and the Law on Inspection Procedure.
