SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - OSCE Mission to BiH organized the screening of the documentary "Maglaj-War and Peace" today in Sarajevo, which focuses on three commanders of opposing armies in Maglaj during 1992 and 1995, who work together today to promote and preserve peace in BiH.

Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Kathleen Kavalec opened the screening and told reporters that the film's protagonists Boro Jevtić, Rizo Salkić and Marko Zelić are "the most impressive three leaders" she has ever met.

As Ambassador Kavalec said, they fought against each other, but after the war they met and started to promote reconciliation and peace.

“In the documentary they openly and honestly speak what the war is and what kind of problems this war has caused to everyone in this country. And they have a clear message, which is that there are no winners in the war, everyone loses,” said Ambassador Kavalec.

Boro Jevtić, a former member of the Republika Srpska Army and one of the actors of the movie "Maglaj-War and Peace", told the press before the screening that it was a war story about the events in the municipality of Maglaj between the Serb, Croat and Bosnian Army in the past war.

He stressed that war was "simply the biggest nonsense" and that they did this in order to show all children in BiH how it is a waste of time and that conflicts should be avoided at all costs.

Rizo Salkić, who was a member of the Army of the RBiH, said that they entered the project with the intention of trying to change something, moving it "from a 'blind spot', at least with dialogue".

Former member of the Croatian Defense Council, Marko Zelić, said that the realization of the film came about quite spontaneously.

According to him, these are three men who have been on different sides in the war and "who have fought each other."

He says they had an active socializing, as acquaintances who knew each other both before and during and after the war.

“Our fellowship was recognized by the OSCE Mission to BiH, and we were asked if we would like to 'put something on the canvas' to try to do something. This was the reason to create a movie with clear messages to everyone that the war would never happen again. This is for the future of our children and our youth, in order to have a bright future,” said Zelić.
