SARAJEVO, February 21 (FENA) - Vice President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Adil Osmanović told reporters in Sarajevo today that the BiH Constitutional Court is part of the Constitution and that the way judges get appointed can only be discussed after Bosnia and Herzegovina becomes a full member of the European Union and other Euro-Atlantic associations.
He added that what SNSD is doing now could have been done four, five, six years ago.
- It is quite legitimate to propose a law on the Constitutional Court that we do not have today and to try to get a parliamentary majority in both houses. However, I don't think it's possible to try to solve such a crucial issue with blackmail - Osmanović states.
It's obvious, he says, that paralysis is to be implemented in the work of the Constitutional Court and the Constitutional Court is to be fully divided according to ethnic principle.
- The point is clear, there are some political goals that are, unfortunately, directed against BiH - said Osmanović.
Osmanović pointed out "that such professionals and experienced judges of integrity should bother anyone."
- They are in a real sense a guarantee of the implementation of the Peace Agreement in BiH - said Osmanović.
Asked if he saw a document whose parliamentary procedure was announced by the SNSD, he said no.
- We will see if it will be delivered by February 26, when we have a regular session of parliament. But it's something that is done hastily. I do not see that any solution will be adopted. It can be proposed to the parliament, it can be discussed, but I do not see a parliamentary majority that will support it - said Osmanović.
