SARAJEVO, February 23 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, following frequent statements by RS officials, especially SNSD President Milorad Dodik, that the BiH entity of RS is "the only successful and functional" entity, said that it is a "naive illusion of fictional triumph that is in complete conflict with truth, arguments and real facts".
It is true, he says, that the economic situation in the RS is such that if compared to the company, the RS would have to file for bankruptcy. He points out that they try to mask real socio-economic situation in the RS with the pattern "that repeatedly told lies should eventually become truth".
He cites several data that deny the claims of RS officials and which show big difference in economic situation and development between the entities, in favor of the FBiH.
“The number of new employees in the past term in RS is four times lower than in FBiH, GDP per capita in RS is lower than in FBiH, pensions and salaries, especially in the health and education sector, are lower in RS than in FBiH, FBiH debt is less than 25 percent of FBiH GDP, while total RS debt is almost 50 percent of RS GDP. At the same time, every RS resident is more than 1000 KM in debt than FBiH resident,” Zvizdić stated.
He added that the total incentives in agriculture in the RS are 10 to 15 percent lower than in the FBiH, and number of tourists in the FBiH is four times higher than the number of tourists visiting RS.
“More than 70 percent of 29 industrial areas in the RS are declining, more than 75 percent of FDI is realized on the territory of the FBiH,” Zvizdić claims.
According to the latest statements by MPs in the RS National Assembly the debt in RS health has exceeded the amount of one billion KM, so the maintenance of the primary health care system is also questionable.
“And instead of concentrating on eliminating discrimination of Bosniaks and Croats in the RS, and improving the very poor economic parameters and living standards in the RS, because all of us who love BiH as our only homeland, strive to create an atmosphere of coexistence, and towards harmonious development of the whole of BiH, the ruling RS officials are forcing ethnocentrism and hatred towards others and different as a model for solving accumulated economic and social problems. And it's like trying to put out a fire with gasoline. Therefore, it is necessary to quote the Lincoln saying: “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can not fool all the people all the time," because it best reflects the current situation and the statements we hear from officials in the RS" Zvizdić said.
He said that blockades and blackmail would not give any result, "that there would be no implosion but an explosion of state-forming patriotism" and that he would never, at any cost, derogate from the protection, development and strengthening of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a complete, indivisible, sovereign, civic, multinational, anti-fascist and Euro-Atlantic state.
