BANJA LUKA, February 24 (FENA) – Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nedeljko Čubrilović filed a request to convene a session of the parliamentary collegium tomorrow to determine the agenda and time of the 11th special session of the RSNA at the request of BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik.

On February 21, the National Assembly received Dodik's request to convene a special session of the parliament of that BiH entity to file the RS's vital interest in two decisions adopted by the BiH Presidency.

Dodik requests the entity parliamentarians to declare whether the announcement of the arrival of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanović in BiH and the deployment of foreign members at the BiH border threatens the vital interest of the RS.

Opposition has criticized Dodik for being frivolous when it comes to vetoing Djukanović's visit.

SDS President Mirko Šarović thinks it was not wise for Dodik not to give his consent to President Djukanović's arrival, because he thinks that BiH, and especially RS, will lose a lot of diplomacy.

“Who doesn't want to be with Djukanović, he/she doesn't have to be at that meeting. There are many ways to protest what is happening in Montenegro, and this is the worst way and one big mistake. These things had to be dealt with in a different way, and the attitude towards Djukanović and his actions in Montenegro in a different way. I think it is bad that a Serb member of the BiH Presidency ia addressing these kinds of things,” Šarović told reporters in Banja Luka.

President of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Branislav Borenović said that everything that has been happening in recent days also shows a kind of turbulence towards the RS National Assembly regarding the exercise of an important right exercised by a Serb member of the BiH Presidency not to be over voted.

“As a responsible party, we will be in the RS National Assembly every time with a clear stance on any topic, but I have a feeling that this important right is used where there is no need and introduces some seriousness into the work of institutions,” said Borenović, emphasizing that he will express his views at the entity parliament session.

At a special session of the RS parliament, deputies should discuss on Dodik's statement proclaiming the decision to approve the Status Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina as "very detrimental to the vital interests of Republika Srpska".

In the letter, Dodik requested that the RS parliamentarians also declare his statement announcing the conclusion of the official visit of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanović to Bosnia and Herzegovina, March 2 and 3, 2020, "very detrimental to the vital interests of Republika Srpska".
