BANJA LUKA, February 25 (FENA) - Head of the "Together for BiH" parliamentary group in the RS National Assembly, Edin Ramić, told FENA that BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik is misusing the vital interest of the RS when it comes to two decisions adopted by the BiH Presidency.
Dodik wants the entity parliamentarians to declare whether the announced visit of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanović to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the deployment of foreign members on the BiH border has violated the vital interest of the RS.
"Protecting the vital interest of the BiH entity of the RS on these two issues, in a way, represents the violation of the entity's vital interest and its deliberation," Ramić said.
He states that it is not good to use this mechanism to limit the visit of the President who was invited to BiH.
"This is primarily inappropriate and, in diplomatic terms, counterproductive for relations between BiH and Montenegro," he said.
It is not good, he said, to use it for political purposes on a daily basis "for cheap political points" because it will bring more harm than good to BiH and the RS.
He says it is amazing “how much energy Dodik invests to make the BiH border as open as possible."
“Dodik first opposed the deployment of the BiH Armed Forces, and the strengthening of the BiH Border Police, and then misused the RS vital interest mechanism to further damage our border security. He is clearly calling for turmoil in BiH. If he is not able to challenge them himself, then he is happy to be challenged by migrants or someone else,” said Ramić.
He said it is necessary to secure the BiH border, but that in this way Dodik "did not hide that he wanted turmoil in BiH".
The Assembly Collegium is scheduled to convene a special session today, requested by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik.
He requested the entity parliament to declare on decisions regarding the visit of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanović and the deployment of Frontex forces at the border between Croatia and BiH, which were adopted unanimously in the Presidency.
