SARAJEVO, February 25 (FENA) – Deputy Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers and Foreign Minister Bisera Turković received today Head of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) Secretariat, Vladan Joksimović in an inaugural visit.
Turković emphasized the importance BiH attaches to the issue of combating corruption, both for the sake of BiH citizens and for the fact that it is one of the key issues for our country's progress towards the European Union.
She also briefed Joksimović on international activities that BiH is undertaking to prevent and combat corruption, as well as co-operation with other organizations and initiatives in the field.
Joksimović briefed Turković on current activities and plans for the next period under this intergovernmental initiative, which is based in Sarajevo.
He noted that RAI is making significant efforts to achieve the best results to comprehensively combat corruption in nine Member States: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
