BANJA LUKA, February 26 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Milorad Dodik said at the RS National Assembly tonight that it would be best for BiH and Montenegrin President Milo Djukanović to postpone his official visit to BiH, given the recent events with the Serbian Orthodox Church in that country.

Explaining why he considered the visit to be detrimental to the vital interest of the RS, Dodik stated that he was against the visit of Djukanović to BiH at this time, and that he had the right to seek the protection of the national interest as a legitimate representative of the RS.

He claims that the controversial Freedom of Religion Act, adopted by the Parliament of Montenegro, is "directed against the Serbian Orthodox Church".

Dodik also added that the vital interest mechanism is one of the most important constitutional solutions for the protection of the interests of the RS, which was given to the RS National Assembly.

Referring to the agreement with Frontex, which he also rejected at the BiH Presidency session, Dodik said the agreement was "detrimental to BiH as well as to the RS because it excludes the Ministry of Interior from any activities".

He said RS does not refuse talks, but could not accept that the MoI is not involved.

The opposition in the RS National Assembly does not support Dodik in these positions.
