Collective agreement signed for mining sector in FBiH

SARAJEVO, February 27 (FENA) - A collective agreement for mining sector in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed today at the headquarters of the FBiH Government in Sarajevo.

FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić, signed the agreement on behalf of the FBiH Government, while Sinan Husić, President of Independent Union of Mine Workers in the FBiH, and Zijad Lačić, President of the Independent Miners' Union in FBiH represented trade unions.

After signing, Minister Džindić said that this is the third time in this mandate that the FBiH Government signs a collective agreement in the mining sector.

According to him, this contract regulates the rights and obligations of employers and about 11,000 workers employed in the mining sector in the FBiH.

Sinan Husić, President of the Independent Union of Mine Workers in the FBiH, said that this collective agreement would come in force on March 1, 2020, to all coal mines in the Federation of BiH over the next 24 months.
