SARAJEVO, February 27 (FENA) - House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the continuation of its fifth regular session, adopted the FBiH Draft Law on Electronic Signature, proposed by the FBiH Government.
MPs accepted it without much discussion, only MP Aner Žuljević said that when it came into force, it would open up a range of opportunities for businesses and speed up many procedures.
An electronic signature is considered legally valid and may be used in judicial and other proceedings if it fulfills the conditions prescribed by this law. It cannot be challenged in judicial or other proceedings solely on the grounds that it is in electronic form.
The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today also adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Legal and Business Entities.
The essence of this legal solution, as explained, is to accelerate and simplify the procedures of registration of business entities and is one of a set of laws that the FBiH Government has sent to the parliamentary procedure in order to implement the Reform Agenda, i.e. to establish one-stop business system and electronic registration of business entities in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
