VIENNA, February 27 (FENA) - I denounce yesterday's reference, made by Member of the #BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, against the @klixba online portal, presenting them as an enemy media of the Republika Srpska entity, OSCE
Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Desir said on Twitter.

Desir states that such allegations are unacceptable and can pose a serious threat to journalists’ safety.

At a special session of the Republika Srpska National Assembly on Wednesday in Banja Luka, Dodik called the online portal Klix.ba a "hostile media" regarding Republika Srpska.

Press associations responded and condemned the allegations of a BiH Presidency member today.

Publicly accusing the media representatives or individual journalists of being "the enemy" has become, unfortunately, another frequent form of pressure on the media outlets in BiH, warned today the Association of Journalists of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Association of Journalists recalls that last night, addressing the RS National Assembly, member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, qualified the news portal Klix.ba as "an enemy media outlet that is against the RS".

The Association reminds that Dodik used to refer to BNTV reporters using almost identically terms in recent years, and once again, not long ago, at a press conference, he called BNTV and its journalist Vladimir Kovačević traitors, a colleague who survived the attempted murder because of his coverage of the ‘Justice for David’ rally.

“Once again, we warn that this kind of inappropriate qualification of the media outlets and journalists in BiH can indirectly result in jeopardizing their safety, especially in the atmosphere of the current political situation,” stated the BiH Association of Journalists in a statement.
