BANJA LUKA, February 28 (FENA) – President of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Mirko Šarović ruled out a possibility of coalition with Milorad Dodik's party, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), and stressed that it is a clear message to all SDS members.
"We should build power and coalition at the local level with partners, not with a party that openly wants to destroy the SDS, which the SNSD president has repeatedly said," Šarović said.
He stressed that the SDS should remove the SNSD from power, not make any coalition with them.
“That's a clear message to all SDS members, no coalition with Milorad Dodik and his SNSD. Every SDS member has to distance himself/herself from this kind of policy run by the SNSD and Dodik, that embarrass both the Republika of Srpska and our people,” said Šarović, SDS stated.
Speaking about the elections in Bijeljina, Šarović reiterated that the SDS will have a candidate for mayor and he must be 100% SDS.
“Every candidate for mayor must clearly distance himself from Dodik's policies. That deviation must be clear and strong if that person is to run for mayor. Who is in favor of SDS politics is with us, who is not and thinks that we should praise Milorad Dodik's policy, he is not with us and cannot represent SDS anywhere,” Šarović said.
